The Zety online CV maker is a popular, feature-rich career platform designed to help job seekers draft professional resumes and cover letters in minutes. While the platform markets itself heavily around its free AI-assisted building tools, it operates on a freemium framework where downloading a polished, fully formatted PDF or Word document requires a paid subscription. Job seekers can build, edit, and export their content entirely for free, but the free export is strictly limited to a plain-text (.txt) file format.
For applicants navigating a competitive employment market, understanding what the platform offers—and where the paywall sits—is essential for avoiding last-minute frustration before a job deadline.
The Core Features of the Builder
The software provides a highly structured, intuitive dashboard that removes the guesswork from document design. Instead of wrestling with margins and font alignment in a standard word processor, users are guided through a step-by-step wizard. Free AI Resume Builder | Create & Download With Zety
